The other day, Coudal Partners started an online swap meet. The pitch is that if you make cool stuff, then send them some and they will send you something of equal value in return. Meanwhile they will post the arrivals and hand out some free publicity. Given that I find like-mindedness abounds at their website and they are also going to put my last HRMC issue #38 on their blog, I sent them some of my stuff.
I sent them my TOBOR tee shirt, (plus a few other goodies). It made me revisit TOBOR and even watch an episode or two. It is some crazy stuff that guy. The cheapest, funkiest looking animation that ever came out of Japan. It is also in black and white, which I always forget and makes it even stranger looking. Of course, for the uninitiated, you want to hang in on any episode until TOBOR (robot spelled backwards) has need of his “energy sticks” which he has to put in his mouth and deeply inhale from in order to get that certain something to thwart whatever super evil doings are before him.
Because it is the age of AI and restored everything. The entrei series has been “digitally restored” with “5.1 DTS stereo sound” on YouTube.
