For most folks, particularly in my age group, this will be a ho hum mention, but for me it was a big deal.

The Silver Surfer is back on the comic stand, this time in a five issue run starting with “An All New Beginning” in February, 2011.

The last time the Surfer was allowed out of his box and onto the newsstand was in 2007 and to say the least, it was not much of a come back.

This time it seems that Greg Pak and his crew got it right. This five series run on the other hand starts off great with a clear and deserved acknowledgment to the Surfer’s beginnings.

Somber, mournful, dejected.
