Henry: The Funniest Living American

While reading the local advocate in Albuquereque, NM I spied a comic strip entitled “Henry”. Upon further investigation I discovered that said comic was a syndicated daily strip dating as far back as 1932 and has continued almost uninterrupted until 2005! How on earth could I never have heard about the funniest living American when indeed his name is mine? Encapsulated in a small, mute, bald boy (go figure) this strip seems to hang upon traditional daily comic one shot moments. The one I saw in the rag this afternoon involved Henry throwing a stick for his dog, who decides not to retrieve until Henry gives up, goes inside and has some soup. Then the dog decides to retrieve the bone and drop it in Henry’s lunch. Funny or not, I could not help myself but let those of you who pass through the interactive blog of Hank some tasty bits of Henry-ness

Some Henry to ponder:
