This has never happened, Two DaDa listings in as many days.
I feel a Indonesian kick coming on. Just
when I was about the let people know more about "Singapore
Express",
(thanks Rach), I read this review from
Jonathan Gold in this weeks LAweekly.
So, off I go and sure it is great and sure it is my current pick
for best lunch under $10, but what I really like about it is that
it feels like you are sitting in a market in Jakarta. Now, I have
never been to Jakarta, so what I mean is that this place has so
little pretense I want to move in and learn there monastic ways.
Tables, sort of. Ikea's stools, yup. All kinds
of food that you have no idea what it is, oh yes.
So that's it, check it out and if for some reason
you are not delighted, go across the street to one of the best
(read only) Indonesian restaurants in LA entitled: Indo Cafe, which
by the way dates back to the near beginnings of DaDa for sure.
